The name says it all: Chick Beer. The website and packaging may say even more. In an unapologetically, bubblegum pink color scheme with the LBD — little black dress — as its logo and a six-pack designed to look like a purse, the latest beer marketed for dainty female drinkers has caught the attention — and indignation — of lady blogs.
A post on Jezebel.com this week titled “Chick Beer: Ugh, Really?” called the concept “offensive” in reference, perhaps, to the sales pitch on Chick Beer’s website: “We love Chick Flicks, Chick Lit, and now we can love Chick Beer!! Enjoy!”
The upstart from Maryland is the latest brewer to try and lure female beer swiggers with promises of low-calorie, smoother, lighter and less carbonated brews to prevent the pesky side effects of bloating.
Carlsberg and Molson Coors also recently launched girlie beers, with Copenhagen and Animee respectively. Copenhagen is a wheat malt and rice-based beer, while Animee is described as a “lightly sparkling and finely filtered” beer that also comes in pink ‘rose’ and zesty lemon flavors.
Chick Beer also donates five percent of all profits to charities that empower women.

You can definitely create a billiard room for under $2000, excluding a billiard table. However, a well-built, sturdy, high-quality billiard table can be had for around $1000 and up (depending on length, base and leg style, slate thickness, etc.), which is worth the extra money to make your new rec room complete.
The next time you have some extra money lying around and are thinking about planning another vacation or spending it on some other service-driven product, consider building a billiard room or rec room for your home. Disney World is not going anywhere. It will be there next year, and your kids will only be one year older. If you’re serious about having a home bar, then you really have to be serious about glassware for your bar. You can’t be serving wine in a pilsner glass, or a daiquiri in a rocks glass. But what types of glassware do you need for your well-stocked bar?
The types of glasses and the number of each will depend mostly on the space you have available to display and store glassware.
One of the best ways to display and store bar glasses is to use one or several stemware racks. Hanging stemware racks under a cabinet is a great way to maximize the use of space in your home bar.
For other types of stemless glasses, such as beer mugs, shot glasses, hi-balls, etc., arranging the glasses on rubber bar mats is a good way to both display and store the glasses.
